2021 Meaty Eats #OneTogether Holiday Meal

Meaty Eats Signature Organic Marinated Roast Chicken

Mississauga, Ontario

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Wednesday December 22nd between 1 and 6 pm Meaty Meats and Meaty Eats will co host their second annual physically distanced #OneTogether Holiday Meal Charity Event at their 896 Lakeshore Road East Location in Mississauga. On that day the companies will team up to donate 150 Organic Marinated Whole Roast Chickens to charity via a "pay what you can" model, whereby patrons pay what they wish to purchase whole marinated organic chicken.

Whole Roasted Marinated Organic Chickens may be consumed by the donor, or passed along to one of several community food banks / shelters at the donors choosing using a "pay it forward" model.

100% of the funds collected will be donated to the patron's choice of either ShareLife, United Way or The Mississauga Food Bank. In addition to the donated proceeds, 10% of the income from Meaty Eats Retail Sales on that day will be donated to the above noted charities.

Last year saw the company host their inaugural #OneTogether Holiday Day meal. 332 of the 372 meals prepared were sold, with over 300 being directly donated via a "pay it forward" on behalf of the donors to local charities. The companies collected 3,945$ in donations, as well as 10% of daily retail store sales which were also donated to charity. The event resulted in a total financial contribution of almost 9,000$ (8,945$) going toward feeding the local community.

“We are most proud that more than 95% of our donors chose to pay it forward, which clearly signifies the strength of our local community, their willingness to help, and their ability to be inspired.” Said a Company Spokesperson.

Of the 332 meals sold, more than 300 were donated to local food banks including the Mississauga Food Bank, Cawthra Shelter and Compass Food Bank. All financial donations were made to the Mississauga Food Bank and to ShareLife.

Community members wishing to take part can make donations via the company website meatyeats.com/holiday-meal-2021 and schedule a time to pick up their meal via curb side or in store pick up. All community members are encouraged to shop online at meatyeats.com/store
